Zoom is video conferencing software along with the mobile app, which brings up a new controversy among this pandemic. It has been criticized for the worse privacy policy, security loopholes and lack of robust firewall.
All of these criticisms have been following by the intruders, who are interrupting between various video conferences, getting all the exploits and selling those in the dark web in a minimum amount of $5,000.
Security flaw selling is cybercrime. When a hacker is trading any software’s exploits like security flaws or privacy policy, then it has become a grave issue for the company itself. At the initial stage, this software has been alleged with its privacy policy. According to the FBI, there are multiple cases of zoom bombing has been reported in the last month.
Usually, the hackers hijack the meeting to show some inappropriate content such as pornography. It has been also found that the Zoom itself revealing user data without having any standard email domain to strangers. Despite these controversies, it’s business spiked by the gross globally. They’ve earned more than $122 million within a year.
