In some places of eastern Bangalore like DG Halli, KG Halli and Kaval bairasandra saw the violent incident on Tuesday night. The reason behind the violence was the offensive Facebook message posted allegedly by the relative of Congress MLA.
Many vehicles were set on fire by the protestors near MLA Srinivas Murthy’s house in the city. Mr Murthy’s nephew Naveen has been arrested who posted the message on Facebook. During the incident 60 police personnel injured and three protesters were killed.
Around 110 people have been arrested for the episode of violating around in the parts of Bangalore by stone-throwing and assault on police personnel.
Protesters set around 24 four-wheelers on fire and while 200 bikes were point and now are kept in a police station. Even the police station was damaged in the violence with hurting 60 police personnel. The police use lathi-charge, tear gas and firing to control the situation.
Later Bengaluru police posted on Twitter that strict actions will be taken against the offenders. The police commissioner also went to the spot.
The situation is under control now. Curfew has been imposed to violence-hit areas till Thursday morning and the large gathering have been banned in the rest of the Bangaluru.
With keeping an eye on situation Chief Minister PS Ydiyurappa tweeted this morning that the strict actions will be taken against the protestors for creating such violence situation in the city.
Also, Congress MLA has released a video appealing to people to stay calm and maintain peace.
Police have been given a free hand to bring down the situation and to avoid such incidents to take place.
