Residents of the remote village located in East Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh are developing quarantine centres by using bamboo. Returnees from the various location can stay them during their quarantine period. The village committee decided to create that centre one kilometre away from the Debing Village in Ruskin Circle.
In that centre, there are piped water, electricity facility is available for the people. In that village, there are 150 households. It shares its border with the Jonai sub-division of Demaji district in Assam. In that district, one COVID-19 patient reported positive.
The returnees need to stay for 28 days, after completing the institutional quarantine period and get negative results for COVID-19. Health check-up will be conducted for them. Then they will allow returning home. There will be volunteers to ensure the restrictions of social distancing and also monitor them for 24×7.
