In the madness of a selfie in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh killed a young man. The youth got caught in the high voltage line while taking a selfie after climbing a freight train at Fatehpur railway station in Barabanki. He died of electrocution. Seeing this view, there was chaos. GRP personnel reached the spot. The deceased has not been identified yet.
A painful accident occurred at Fatehpur railway station in Barabanki on Sunday evening. It has been reported that the freight train tankers have been standing on the third track of the station for about two and a half months. Around seven o’clock in the evening, some youths came towards the railway station. In these, a young man started trying to take a selfie by climbing up the ladder of the tanker, but in the madness of the selfie he did not see the high voltage line passing over the goods train.
During the attempt to take selfie, he got hit by high voltage line. The current was so strong that the young man’s body burned in an instant. Seeing this, other young men who came with him escaped from the spot.
After the incident, a large number of people gathered on the spot. On receiving the information, GRP Inspector RP Singh reached the spot. The technical department of the Railway Electricity Department shut down the power line after shutdown, after which the body of the youth was taken down from the tanker. GRP sent the body for postmortem. The GRP station in-charge said that efforts are being made to identify the deceased.
