On Wednesday a big incident took place in the history of Covid-19 in India. A 3-day-old baby lost his life in Agartala after family blamed the nurse inserting a nasal swab to take the sample for coronavirus.
In GB Pant hospital this incident took place which has one of the biggest COVID-19 treatment facilities. According to the family of the baby, they blamed the nurse that nurse had came to take the samples of the child after the mother tested positive for the deadly infection on Wednesday afternoon but as soon the nurse inserted the cotton swabs the baby starts bleeding from the nose and they said that the baby has died on the same day.
One of the family members said in the media that the staff of the hospital has taken the sample with the delicacy where it requires handling a three-year-old infant which results in destroying the vein of the child because after that child starts bleeding which becomes impossible for staff to stop it.
The family has put blame on the medical staff that they show negligence during the case which results in the death of the child and has blamed the medical negligence of all the doctors and the staff of the hospital who were responsible for this case.
The nodal officer has said in the media that the child been tested negative for COVID-19, his test has been done before. Then also we are not able to find the reason for infant death.
On Thursday the state congress has taken a protest march against blaming the medical negligence and want the resignation of Chief Minister Biplab Deb who is also in charge of the health portfolio.
