Mizoram resident, who passed away in Chennai during the lockdown, has been bringing back to his native place. His friend travelled 3,000 km with two helpers in an ambulance. They travelled by road, with all the necessary travel passes and document during this nationwide lockdown.
It takes 5 long days to drive across the country to receive Vivian for last rituals after his sudden death. Raphael Malchhanhima, was there with two drivers, S Chinnathambi and P Jayendran , who reached at Vivian’s home for the last rituals.
Raphael has arranged all the documents, travel passes with the help of local authorities of Tamil Nadu and Chennai Mizo Welfare Association. The three only stopped over for the meals amid this road journey. As soon as they entered the region of Mizoram, they’ve received an immense applaud for their tremendous efforts.
