On Monday, evening, in Maharashtra’s Raigad district a residential building collapsed as of now three people have died and 14 are missing after the incident. According to the officials, more than 60 people have been rescued and for more than 18 hours the rescue operation has been going.
Three teams of NDRF that is National Disaster Response force and 12 teams of fire brigade has been sent to the place of the incident. The five story building which collapsed in Maharashtra was 10 years old and had over 45 flats.
This morning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office tweeted that Saddened by the building collapse in Mahad, Raigad in Maharashtra. My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their dear ones. I prayed the injured recover soon. Local authorities and National Disaster Response Force teams are at the site of the incident that happened and providing all possible assistance.
Regarding the incident that happened in Maharashtra Union Minister Amit Shah also tweeted by saying that ” The collapse of the building in Raigad, Maharashtra is very tragic. Have spoken to DG (NDRF HQ) to provide all possible assistance, teams are on the way and will assisting with the rescue operations as soon as possible. Praying for everyone’s safety.”
