According to the sources, the government of Goa is planning to focus on COVID-19 containment zones in the state and urge the recovered patients of coronavirus from these areas to donate their plasma for the treatment of others.
On Friday Health Minister Vushwajit Rane while talking to the reporter said that the next week Chief Minister Pramod Sawant would hold a meeting with those MLAs in holes constituencies the containment zones fall in order to involve them in a plasma donation drive.
He further added that the “MLAs cutting across party lines, should be asked to encourage recovered coronavirus patients in the containment zone in the respective constituencies to come ahead and donate their plasma.”According to the sources, the Goa Medical College and hospital has set up a facility to get plasma from the blood of recovered patients.
It is said that plasma therapy is one of the best solutions to treat COVID-19. With the help of recovered patients, they will start treating infected patients. Time has come for the recovered patients to become a savior for others said the Minister.
