Following Trivendra Singh Rawat’s resignation, a decision on the next Chief Minister of Uttarakhand will be made today, Wednesday. Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, MP Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State Dhan Singh Rawat, and Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj are among the candidates under consideration. Despite the fact that the BJP’s high command has decided on the new chief minister’s name, the state leadership is unaware of any potential rivals.
Currently, five names are being discussed among various BJP factions. Former Chief Minister and Union Minister Nishank, MP for Nainital-US Nagar Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State Dhan Singh Rawat, and Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj are among them. In a BJP camp, the name of Garhwal MP Tirath Rawat is also being discussed. All members of Parliament, MLAs, and the core group have left for Dehradun to join the Legislature Party.
According to reports, the swearing-in will take place on Wednesday following the announcement of the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand’s name. On Tuesday night, about 20 MLAs met with Union Supervisor Raman Singh at Bijapur Safe House.
It’s possible that certain cabinet faces will be updated
