On Friday Suresh Raina thanks to the Prime Minister on Twitter for his”words of appreciation” and for best wishes after getting the retirement from the international cricket.
Suresh Raina has announced his retirement on August 15 just after MS Dhoni has taken retirement. He said that when we play we play with our whole heart and determination for our country.
He also tweets that no better appreciation and love they have got from the nation and even from the country’s Prime Minister. He tweeted “Thank You, @narendramodi Ji, for giving us full support and best wishes to us, this includes “I accept all of them with gratitude Jai Hind”.
The letter which he got from PM has written that Raina has a wonderful cricket and he will be known not only for his batting but also for his extraordinary fielding which inspired to many f the young talents.
PM Modi also wrote about watching Raina’s performance in quarter-finals of 2011 world against Australia in Motera Stadium when he had given a match-winning performance, that performance can never be forgotten by anyone it is your inspiring role.
The Prime Minister appreciated Raina’s spirit of inspiration which he has given to the young team members. Raina announced his retirement just after MS dhoni had posted on his Instagram post for his retirement.
After that Raina posted on his Instagram page that it was lovely to play with @mahi7781 and wrote that with my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you, India. Jai Hind”
He completed his One-Day International journey with 5,615 runs at an average of 35.13 with a strike rate of 93.50. In Twenrty20 International career, he finished with 1,605 at an average of 29.18 having a strike rate of 134.87. He will play in IPL.
