A 48-year-old headmistress Razia Begum to bring back her son from a friend’s place drove 1,400 km on her scooty. She travelled to Nellore in Andhra Pradesh from Bodhan in Nizamabad in Telangana.
Her son Mohammed Nizamuddin who accompanied his friend to Rehmatabad told that he went there on March 12. He already had booked his train ticket for returning on March 23 but was unable to get home due to lockdown. Several times he tries to get a transport to reach Hyderabad but every time he was unsuccessful.
Razia Begum said that she was concerned about her son as she knew that he wouldn’t have taken enough precautions. Nellore is one of the affected districts, so she was worried about him. She further added that she couldn’t find any other way to get back her son so she went on her scooty.
After travelling for almost 24 hours, with 15 minutes break at fuel stations, she reached there. She said that the Police were shocked by her but she said that she had no other option. After requesting them she took her son and came back to Telangana.
