There is an order passed in Tuesday late night, civic body of Mumbai has announced a closure of all shops of non-essential goods. There will be the essential shops remained open for emergency services, like grocery stores and chemist shops.
This order has been issued by the report of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr Praveen Pardeshi. He has been applied the order to close all the non-essential shops, as a large number of crowds are queuing outside of liquor shops. He has been cited multiple reports to stricter enforcement of lockdown.
According to him, the diorite condition of Mumbai is the primary reason to enforce this order. As people go crazy after liquor shops, it could be a dangerous outcome amid pandemic, when entire Maharashtra is in state of an emergency situation.
Apart from this order, the BMC has also directed the assistant commissioner of wards that there will five shops to resume their service of non-essential commodities. Anyone has caught violating the orders, will penalize under Section 188 of Indian Penal Code.
