Satyendra Jain who is the health minister of Delhi said that a 29.1 % prevalence of the virus has been found in the second schedule logical survey. The result of the second survey was carried out from August 1 to August 7 in Delhi and it was announced on Thursday. According to the city Government of Delhi said today that nearly a third of Delhi’s population has been exposed to COVID-19 and has developed antibodies from that.
By announcing the details of the serological survey in the city. According to Mr. Jain scientists say that 40% of the population has antibodies which are herd immunity. He also added that those who have antibodies in the body will be protected from the virus for six to seven months after being infected from the virus.
Mr. Jain was hospitalized for COVID-19, he said that the antibodies will stay for six to eight months according to the scientists. The first survey was done in Delhi from June 27 to July 10. After the result of the survey, it was shown that 24 percent of the people in the city have shown the presence of antibodies that means they were affected by COVID-19.
