The Kerala government on Tuesday gave Rs. 1.30 Crores to Nambi Narayanan as compensation.
The 26 year old ISRO spy case in which scientist Nambi Narayanan was alleged to have transferred confidential documents on India’s space programmes to foreign countries comes to an end. Narayanan refused to comment on the issue. “I have acted as per the law and don’t want to comment on this issue any more”, he said.
The Kerala Government on Tuesday gave Rs. 1.30 crores to Nambi Narayanan as compensation. The case which made the headlines in 1994 in which the former scientist Nambi Narayanan was falsely implicated by the Kerala State and had to spend 2 months in jail. Later the case was investigated by CBI and concluded the allegation which were made against the scientist were false.
The 1.30 crore compensation is an addition to the compensation of 50 lakhs provided by the Government. He was also provided Rs. 10 lakh recommended by the National Human Rights Commission.
