From September 21, in its unlock 4.0 guidelines the ministry of home affairs allowed States to reopen it states are okay with resuming the educational activities.
As per the sources from September 21 reopening schools is not compulsory and several States have decided against it due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country day by day. Among these States which have already taken a decision on resuming classes are Assam, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh.
In Assam, state classes will resume for the students between class 9 and 12 for the next 15 days.
As per the government of Haryana, senior students can visit their school safety indeed guidelines butts schools will remain closed. As of now for a trial basis, two government schools in Haryana, Karnal and Sonipat have already opened. They have divided students into groups as per colour codes to help them and the teachers maintain social distancing.
In Andhra Pradesh, only public-private, and aided educational institutions are allowed to open which are outside containment zones.
On Friday the Government of Delhi said that schools will remain closed until October 5 earlier the government had decided to allow for senior students class 9 to 12 to attend schools for teachers guidelines. This will be allowed only if the parents of the students are ok with this.
