Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik has been made the Governor of Meghalaya. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has been given additional charge of Goa. This decision of Modi Cabinet has been approved by President Ram Nath Kovind. This is Malik’s third transfer in a year. He is currently the Governor of Goa. Prior to this he was the Governor of Jammu & Kahmir.
Malik assumed the post of Governor of Jammu & Kashmir on 23rd August 2018. They stayed here til 30th October 2019. He was sworn in as the Governor of Goa on 3rd November 2019. Now he has been given the responsibility of Meghalaya.
On August 5 yera last, the Central Government abolished 370 from Jammu & Kashmir. During this time Malik was the Governor of the state. The Center made Jammu & Kashmi. During this time Malik was the Governor of the state. The Center made Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh separate Union Territories, a decision that came into effect form 31 October.
