Pakistan announced that it was temporarily banning the popular online battle game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG, due to the addictiveness and wastage of time. The decision was taken after a 16-year-old boy committed suicide in the Hanjarwal area on June 26 only for PUBG Mobile.
The police had confirmed that the boy named Mohammad Zakarya took the extreme step for not completing his task while playing PUBG and ended the life.
As the Dawn.com stated that Saddar Division SP Operations Ghazanfar Syed , “We found his mobile phone on the bed with the PUBG game on at that time near his body. We immediately called the Punjab Forensic Science Agency for further investigation into the incident”.
However, it is a temporary ban and a Pakistani court will hear a petition regarding this on July 9.
This is not first time ban for PUBG.It has been banned by several countries including Iraq, Jordan, Nepal. The game is also banned in the Indian state of Gujarat and Indonesian province of Aceh.
