While Maharashtra proceeds with its fight against the coronavirus, a BJP MLA from Wardha area on Sunday supposedly disregarded the lockdown standards by giving out dry ration to different people at his house on occasion of his birthday.
Dadarao Keche, BJP MLA from Aarvi in Wardha region, distributed wheat and rice outside his home to celebrate his birthday. The BJP MLA’s action made several people accumulate outside his house even when world leaders, doctors and specialists have underlined the point of social distancing as a key to keep the coronavirus under control.
Around one hundred individuals assembled outside the MLA’s house, leading to a crowd taking place, to get free ration until authorities and police staff arrived at the spot and dispersed them. This incident took place on Sunday morning. The video and pictures quickly turned into a web sensation.
At the point when different media sources talked with him, Dadarao Keche said he has planned to distribute it to only 21 people and create a chaos but this dint happen and hundreds of people gathered as it was a conspiracy against him by the opposition party. “I distribute food to the poor people and needy people every year on my birthday. I was intending to distribute grains just to 21 families. In the wake of doing that I left for a temple but then a conspiracy was done by the opposition by spreading the message that I was distributing free ration to everybody. This brought about mass get-together,” Dadarao Keche said in defense.
