Italian Police have been looking straight into health violations at elderly care homes around the nation, amid this fatal pandemic. It has been reported that 17% of the 600 elder care homes has been failed to follow the national coronavirus protocols.
The violations including not having proper personal protective equipment for the staffs and adequate amount of quarantine space of isolated place for suspected coronavirus patients. There are fifteen facilities has been closed and the patients have been relocated. Around 157 people have been suspected for this violation and they have been charged with the amount of $78,500.
As the elderly are at more risk of having infected by coronavirus infections and had a hitter hard in Italy. There are many seniors had been died on the effect of coronavirus, but the health department didn’t count them as the victim of COVID-19.
It has been investigated by the special team that how these care houses did such grave crime by pushing the elders in certain risk instead of taking precautions as per the rule.
