After 27 years of no-nonsense on Dawood Ibrahim, Pakistan has finally accepted his presence in his country. Pakistan on Saturday released a list of 88 terrorists. It also named Dawood Ibrahim, the mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai serial blast and most wanted terrorist. The great thing is that his name is also in the list that he possess 14 passports and has three houses in Karachi and illegal business.
Dawood fled to Pakistan after the 1993 Mumbai blasts. After this there were reports of Dawood being in different cites of Pakistan, but Pakistan never confessed openly about him.
Pakistan has imposed stringent financial sanctions on terrorists and terrorist organisation like Dawood Ibrahim, including Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar. Also ordered to seize all their properties and freeze bank accounts.
There is a lot of pressure on Pakistan to get out of the gray list of FATF and due to this the government has finally imposed strict financial restrictions on 88 terrorists.
Media reports claimed on Saturday that the Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) out Pakistan on gray list 2 year ago. At the same time, Pakistan was asked to implement an action plan to curb the terrorists by end of 2019.
