On Tuesday, the subsidiary of Indian Railways’ IRCTC announced that all the three passenger trains shall remain cancelled til April 30. Needless to say, viewing at the crisis of COVID-19 this decision was taken. Also, sources have claimed that it is still ambiguous that whether other passenger trains will remain cancelled after 21-day lockdown.
On the other hand, there is also a possibility that IRCTC, can take decision regarding running trains. Only after consulting with the respective governments of those states. Also, they will try to consult them as per the COVID-19 affects on the particular area since social distancing is mandatory.
IRCTC have also claimed that they shall refund to all the booked tickets. And, passengers don’t have to cancel any ticket since it will be done automatically.
