Nabarangpur district’s, Mokia SBI branch was closed by the employees on tuesday. The employees claimed that they were infected by the novel coronavirus.
Investigations showed that none of the staffs were infected and there was not even a single positive case in the district in Orissa. Later on, the district collector ordered the employees to open the bank the next day.
A notice was put up and the branch had closed on tuesday by the branch manager. The notice told that one of the bank’s staff had come in contact with a covid 19 patient and they decided to self quarantine themselves for 14 days. The decision was taken without conducting a sample test.
The superintendent of police was ordered to investigate the matter, the investigation revealed that a clerk of Mokia branch gave a loft to person on his bike on April 4, and the clerk was nervous after he got to know the person had cake from Delhi.
None of the employees were infected, reports.
