Many people have been choosing optional career amid lockdown. Among them Nilachala Parida’s story is different. He is the national level mountaineer, who used to lead the expedition on the peaks of the mountain, also has to lead to the highest mountain peak in April. He started selling vegetables in the streets of Bhubaneswar for a cause.
Amid this lockdown, many people are facing a crisis of food, supplies and many other essential staffs. He thought that instead of wasting time in the home, he can help those people by selling vegetables. The Seven Summits Mountaineering Expedition also cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. it happened to be started from 1 April from Mount Elbrus, the highest peak of Russia.
He has set up a makeshift shack to sell the vegetables with free home delivery service for those who can’t reach. The profit will be added in the CM and PM care funds. He gets all the vegetables from the nearby mandi. He also circulates his Whatsapp number in the area.
As the transport cost is much more, he couldn’t make that much profit. Still, he is collecting the donation amount of 10,000 to contribute.
