Kalyan Krishnamurthy,the CEO of Flipkart, assured the employees that there wont be any salary cuts.The Walmart owned India’s leading online store’s CEO has told that there wont be any slash in the salaries of employees during the lockdown period. Kalyan Krishnamurthy also stated that the company remains committed to its employees. Flipkart has around 8000 employees.
A crisis is a great time to show your statesmanship, commitment and character, said the CEO.He also added that Flipkart would be honoring all commitments and campus placements. He also instructed his employees to follow safety measures as told by the govt.
Flipkart had stopped the delivery of goods and are only delivering the most necessary items during the Lockdown such as grocery. With the business halted many companies are facing huge losses, many companies have already asked for a salary cut during the pandemic.
