Cyclone Nisarga crossover the Pune on Wednesday afternoon, with sheets of rains and intensely strong winds till midnight. It was the very first time in history, those inland areas like Pune and Ahmednagar in Maharashtra witnesses a cyclone.
Nisarga approached to the landfall at 1 pm and by 4:30 it gets weakened adjacent. The wind speed as 50-60 kmph and gusts of 65kmph was blowing over the Pune city and Ahmednagar. Many trees have been affected by the storm. It damages more than 530 supply lines in the city.
Internet connectivity has been hitter hardly. In Pimpri Chinchwad, there are 125 trees has been damaged. Few areas of eastern Pune were waterlogged due to rainfall. Currently, the storm is approaching towards Nashik, Dhule and Nandubar districts.
