Nick Jonas is working on his next album, “Spaceman,” which will be released later this year. The singer recently revealed on a talk show that he assisted his “missing” wife, Priyanka Chopra, in the development of music for his new album. The Covid-19 pandemic forced Priyanka to leave the filming of “The Matrix 4.” This split inspired Nick’s latest single “Spaceman,” which has the same name as the song.
The 28-year-old singer appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, and when asked what motivated his latest solo album, Jonas said that “missing” his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas when she was away due to the COVID-19 pandemic influenced his new music, according to People.com.
“I started writing this record in July,” says the artist. My wife was in Germany, finishing up a small film called The Matrix. ‘You know, I feel very disconnected from the world, first and foremost, and now from my person,’ I said. And I just started recording… within a few days, I realised, “Oh, this is a solo album.” “I was like, ‘This is a kind of themed album,’” he said a few days later.
The “sucker” hitmaker went on to say that his latest single was inspired by the feelings of alienation and loneliness experienced by many people around the world during the quarantine era.
Jonas revealed during a recent conversation that the majority of his latest albums are dedicated to his wife, Priyanka Chopra. “Most of the songs are basically love letters,” he continued, “which I go to the studio when I can’t express the way I feel in my voice, and I’m grateful to have because it makes her happy, which is the most significant.”
