According to the officials, the government has allowed serving the hot meals on international flights and pre-packed snacks meals and beverages on domestic flights. The senior official of Aviation regulated DGCA said that if any passengers who refuse to wear a mask in a flight can be put on the no-fly list by the airline.
On May 25 since the resumption, due to the ongoing crisis of coronavirus pandemic, in-flight meal service was not permitted on domestic flights, and on international flights only prepacked cold meals and snacks were being served and allowed which will depend on the flight duration since May this year. On Thursday, in an order issued, the Civil Aviation ministry said and Airlines main serve pre-packed snacks meals or prepacked beverages on domestic flights depending on the duration of the flight.
It further added that as per the standard practices airlines and charter flight operators can serve hot meals and limited beverages on international flights. It also said that the “crew should keep in mind and shall wear a fresh set of gloves for every Meal or beverage service.”
