Netflix is said to be working on a new service called “N-Plus”, and conducted a survey to know about different kinds of features and content, reported by Protocol. N-Plus is reportedly a service where people can learn more about Netflix shows, and will additionally feature content that Netflix already makes and offers on YouTube, Instagram and other platforms.
According to the Netflix survey, “N-Plus is a future online space where you can learn more about the Netflix shows you love and anything related to them.” N-Plus additionally can also offer features such as building and sharing custom playlists. It can also bring music to the service by listing all the songs from a TV show, and letting users create playlists from it.
N-Plus can also be used to tease upcoming shows. One of the questions in the survey was to “learn about a planned show (pre-production) and influence its development with feedback before filming has finished.” Netflix is also planning to add user reviews of TV shows. To find more details about TV shows, content from N-Plus will also appear in Google Search results as well.
As of now, the survey is only to understand user feedback, and Netflix doesn’t have anything else to share other than this, it is going to be the go-to content hub for all Netflix original shows. This can also lead to user engagement since N-Plus is expected to have social features as well.
