Bhagwati Yadav , a street side vendor who sells pani puri in South Mumbai’s Napean Sea Road for nearly 46 years died because of COVID-19 around a month ago .
He was famously known as “Bisleri Pani Puri Wala” in and around South Mumbai as he used bisleri bottled water for preaparing pani puri
The style of pani puri he provided was hygenic and superior
His originality established him apart from the other road-aspect vendors. He used to prepare everything at home.
His demise came to light recently when the residents of the area started raising funds to support the family of their beloved pani puri wala
Mr Yadav was a single-earner in his family therefore, the people of the place started to collect funds to help his family
“We are in touch with his family and felt like helping his family so without thinking much we posted an appeal on crowdfunding website” said Yash Baid a resident of South Mumbai’s Napean Sea Road.
Bhagwati Yadav’s daughter who lives in their native village in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh with her mother said she was suprised and overwhelmed to see people’s love and care for her father and especially Girish Agarwal sir who took the leadership and started the initiative on the crowdfunding platform has helped her family a lot
