Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani moves to the 5th position in the list of World’s Richest people in the world.
On June 23rd, Ambani was on the 8th position along with Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google. While the other Indian in the list Cyrus Poonawalla ‘Vaccine King’ was on the 57th position.
According to Hurun Research, due to the digital wave that Ambani was riding on to, has definitely helped him to emerge as one of the top richest people in the world. Hurun India Managing Director and Chief Researcher Anas Rahman Junaid said “The increase in valuation of RIL is synonymous with the demographic opportunity presented by India. In addition to all the existing launches such as JioMeet and so on, the value could be further unlocked when Jio Platforms forays further into digital offerings such as online gaming and when potential listing on Nasdaq,”.
Ambani’s net worth in the previous months due to COVID-19 was $66 billion, while now his net worth rose to $70 billion. This is much higher than Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett ($76 billion) and Google co-founder Sergey Brin ($69 billion).
