As there is no decrement in corona virus cases so in this scenario Mizoram government has operated some additional guidelines.
Social distancing is strictly followed in the city. The government has issued these orders on Thursday i the meeting which was chaired by top officers, NGOs, churches, and doctors the meeting was chaired by the Cheif Minister Zoramthanga on Wednesday.
These orders said that the gatherings should be less than 50 people in any social gatherings like in marriages, funeral, memorial stone erection program, an anniversary celebration, or any other social gatherings. In case of any funeral of a deceased person, only those people are allowed to attend those who are hi or her relatives. It is informed that people should be as minimum as possible. The orders also said that only two representatives or unions are allowed to attend the funerals.
Not only this the orders also said that the funerals should be held either in the church hall or in the Young Mizo Association hall or in any other community hall. It means that the funeral should be held in that place in which a minimum number of people can come. If there will be a minimum number of people then it will be easy to maintain social distancing.
The order also said that old people and people with co-morbidities are prohibited from these funerals. In the order, there is written that there will be no congregational singing called ‘Zaikhawn’ neither in the funerals to mourn the dead person nor in the marriages. People should also wear masks while attending the ceremony.
The report of Thursday said that the state has recorded 649 cases among which 319 are active cases and 330 have recovered from the disease.
