The Magistrate Court of the United Kingdom ordered for the extradition of fugitive Indian businessman Vijay Mallya. He 62 years old and a billionaire, who fled India on March 2016 when he has been asked to pay debts of Rs 9,000 crores in loans. The Central Bureau of Investigation, India’s supreme investigation agency filed a case against him to pay the debts of those banks.
Along with that, Kingfisher Airline also owes Rs 300 crore salaries for 3,000 employees. United Kingdom’s chief magistrate Emma Arbuthnot states that the extradition offences have been set out on the basis of these allegations. The judge also stance against, commenting over flashy lifestyle, stated it is a case of billionaire playboy, who charmed people to grab the money and eloped to live his glamorous life.
Mallya’s extradition will be a huge political victory for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government, as this will lead forward to the election next year. And it is expecting that the tycoon is not going to come home.
