While crossing the path from Odisha’s Balasore district, a bus ferrying migrants from Kerala to Bengal, witnessed an accident. Seven passengers injured due to the overturn of the bus on NH 16. Police and Fire service personnel rushed to the spot to rescue the passengers. The local people helped the injured to send them to the local hospital for treatment.
Passengers are mostly engaged with various services in Kerala, stranded there for the last two months, as the national lockdown started implying over on the states. According to the police, the injured are safe now. They are in stable condition.
Other passengers were kept in a temporary camp by following the restrictions of social distancing. The police officer stated that there are arrangements being made for those passengers. They will soon send them to their destination on another bus.
