Kerala has become the first state in the country to have more recoveries from covid-19 pandemic than the number of patients currently undergoing the treatment. According to latest data released , Kerala has 178 active covid-19 cases, while 198 patients have recovered so far, including 19 recoveries that happened today. In all, those presently affected and cured cases in Kerala stood at 379, including 3 deaths.
“19 more have recovered, with this the tally of recovered has crossed total active cases, only 3 new cases today,” Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. “There are almost 1,11,468 people under observation at their homes and 715 persons are under observation at various hospitals in the state,” he added. As of April 13, 15,683 samples were sent for testing, out of which 14,829 were found to be negative.
Kerala was the first place in India to report the coronavirus spread at ohvthe end of January. The state, once the hotspot for the virus has the lowest fatality rate(death as percentage of cases) in the country now. Kerala’s Health ministry has been an example for all.
