Many political parties commented on the defeat of the Grand Alliance in the Bihar elections and the embarrassing performance of Congress in the elections. But when senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal raised questions on the party’s top leadership elsewhere, the infighting of the country’s oldest political party once again came to the fore. Now, one by one, all the Congress leaders are attacking Sibal.
Kapil Sibal while speaking about the top leadership of the party said that the problem is that Rahul Gandhi has made it clear a year and a half ago that he does not want to become the president of the Congress anymore. He also said that I do not want anyone from the Gandhi family to hold that position. After one and a half years of this, I ask how a national party can function without its president for so long. I raised my voice within the party. We also wrote a letter in August. But no one talked to us. I want to know that even after one and a half years we do not have a president. Whom should the worker go to with his problem?
Kapil Sibal said that this is a difficult situation for a national party and when it is the oldest party. I am not raising any finger on anyone’s ability. I am talking about the constitutions of the party that elections should be held. If we do not conduct elections in our organizations ourselves, then how will we get the result we want. We said these things in our letter.
Sibal said – three letters were written, no one talked
On the question related to going against the Gandhi family, Kapil Sibal said that when I said this, how should I talk in the party forum when I have never been a part of the CWC. There is no president of the party either. The letter we wrote in August 2020 was our third letter. Ghulam Nabi ji had written two letters earlier. But still, no one spoke to us. So I talked when I got a chance.
