The civic team demolished the alleged illegal structure at an office in the middle of her massive row with Maharashtra’s ruling party Shiv Sena the actor Kangana Ranaut compared Mumbai to PoK and Pakistan.
On Thursday after the meeting with Kangana Ranaut in Maharashtra capital, Ramdas Athawale who is the Union Minister said that it feels insulted and wants compensation.
He informed reporters after the meeting with the actor by saying that “Met actor Kangana Ranaut and talked with her for an hour. I told her she has nothing to fear in Mumbai. Mumbai is the country’s economic capital and everybody has the right to live here. My party (RPI) is with her”.
He further added that “she told me she felt insulted. Her office that she got constructed in January has been damaged. The actor was not aware of 2-3 inches is constructed by the builder. The BMC should have demolished that part but it damaged the inside walls and furniture. She has approached the Court against this and wants compensation”.
On Thursday regarding the petition of Kangana Ranaut, the High Court said that the actors challenge to Mumbai civic body’s move to demolish her Pali hill office will be heard again on September 22. According to the sources, the court has stopped the demolition In response to her pet petition, this can be seen as a big win for MS Ranaut regarding her face off with the Maharashtra government.
