On Tuesday reliance jio told Supreme Court resume regarding the hearing in the adjusted gross revenue case related to telcos that it has already paid 195 crores in AGR related dues which included spectrum sharing charge of reliance communications RCom.
In the hearing Telcos such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and others had appealed to the Supreme Court to allow them to makes staggered payments in the AGR dues.
Reliance jio also added that there is no question of one operator paying AGR related dues of another firm as suggested by the top court. Mukesh Ambani who led reliance jio said that he has already paid all the dues and if any amount remains pending from sharing of the spectrum of RCom, it is also willing to pay that.
On August 10 the supreme court had asked the DoT how it plans to recover AGR related news from telecom companies facing insolvency proceedings and whether spectrum given these companies can be sold or not. Mukesh Ambani told that the issue will be decided when RCom resolution applicant moves the Department Of Telecom (DoT) for spectrum sale. It would decide all the legal issues involved in the matter conclude the apex court said.
