HRD ministry had postponed the exam twice due to the increase in the COVID-19 cases in the country. Earlier the test was supposed to held on July 19 to July 23, 2020.
Under the guidelines of COVID-19, National Testing Agency is all prepared to conduct the exam during the pandemic. It is compulsory for all the students who are appearing for the examination to carry admit card along with identity proof and recent passport size photo while entering the exam hall.
According to the reports, there will be two shifts in order to appear for the exam. The first shift would be from morning 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. followed by the second shift which would be conducted from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students appearing for the exam has been informed to reach the exam venues one hour before the examination as they have to go through thermal screening at the entrance.
While keeping in mind the crisis of COVID-19 and the National Testing Agency has taken several measures it has also increase the number of examination centers from 570 to 660. According to the reports around 8.58 lakh students have registered for JEE Main exam this year.
