Italian docks are closing all of the port; non-national migrant ships will not allow docking. The nation is not safe due to coronavirus pandemic. The government stated that Italian ports are no safe place to stay as it couldn’t be guaranteed that the pandemic wouldn’t reach port.
There are orders to search and rescue operation for thousands from the Mediterranean. But as the medical emergency has arrived in sudden action, this situation must be handled in such away.
The statement said Italy is trying to save those people who risk their lives at the midst of sea as they don’t have any other possibilities to take when the nation is asking help from another country as well.
But as the statement announced officially, there is the German-flagged vessel Alan Kurdi, operated by Sea-Eye, is now trapped in the international water. They set off the coast of Libya with 150 shipwreck survivors on board.
There is a pregnant woman among those survivors also. As the ship is under in authority of Germen government, the Italian government is asking them to take the responsibility of those survivors.
