Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime minister of Israel thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sending across 5 tonnes of cargos of meidicine, which includes the anti malarial drug hydrochloroquine. The hydrochloroquine is said to be a possible cure for the corona virus and many countries have asked India for the same. He tweeted thanking PM Modi, and behalf of all Israel citizens.
The plane carrying the medicines arrived on Tuesday in Israel. Earlier the PM of Brazil and the US President also thanked Modi. Bolsonaro, also compared Modi with Lord Hanuman.
India is not ignoring its own interests and honouring the prior commitments and have restricted the export to meet domestic needs. India is the highest producer of the hydrochloroquine.
The Isdael PM and Modi had a conversation on April 3, 3 days after that the medicines reached the country. The anti malarial drug, however has not been proved as a treatment and the experts have urged caution.
