Currently, India is becoming one of the right ecosystem with an efficient talent pool, to create new jobs in the field of AI revolution over the world. As said by one of the top executives of Infosys Ltd and Wipro Ltd in a panel discussion which was organized by the IT industry body of Nasscom on Tuesday.
According to the data of Nasscomand, the data and AI can play an important role in realizing India’s vision of 2025 and can add at least $500 billion to gross all the domestic visions product.
In a meeting, Wipro chairman Rishad Premji said that we need to identify a perfect comprehensive required for AI action story and also to identify the type of data which is required of national importance which will be based on some of the selected initiatives and it will be given some priority sets which are required to gain the attention of the government. He also added that now the country needs a lot of talented people in academia and need some startups to drive the revolution, but their main focus should be on moving beyond the pilots to some scalability.
As informed by the chairmen of Nasscom and chief operating officer of Infosys U.B. Pravin Rao that we need to build the capabilities in the country and to create such type of data which is suitable for AI and that data should be capable of giving millions of jobs to the youth of the country. He also added that currently in the country around half a million of 4.3 million IT workers are working in the field of data analytics and AI.
The observations made by industry captains think that NITI Aayog released a draft document that will be responsible for AI for all of the stakeholders working.
