International flights are suspended in Indian due to 21-day lockdown. But there are many people, out there, living in a completely unknown country. They are in trouble and so the international flights are going to bring Indians back home.
The lockdown is going on till 14 April 2020 and after that, the flights may fly after 15 April. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh says, that Indians who are coming back from another country by flight, that might get permit considering from where they are coming from. It is also considerable, that Health and Home ministries must assess that the pandemic situation is in under control, only then the international flights will be operational again.
An aerobridge has been initiated with China for setting up medical cargo freight services. Rajiv Bansal, the chairman and managing director (CMD) of the national carrier, Air India, said fleets will start functioning on April 4 and April 5 to Shanghai. Meanwhile, they’ve got approval to operate flights to Hong Kong.
Now, the cargo flights, medical evacuation fleets, offshore helicopters and flights have special permission from aviation regulator DGCA during this emergency situation.
