Indian Navy has been tested for COVID-19 infection and there are 21 personnel have been reported positive. Among them, 20 sailors are from Mumbai shipment. There are more tests are going on.
That Mumbai shipment is a base depot for ships and units. The first positive report has been reported on April 7, later on, a group of navy personnel from INS Angre also tested positive.
All of the resident from that particular block has been quarantined along with the lockdown of INS Angre. From the officials of the Indian Navy, all the required action has been taken to break the chain of COVID-19. All the protocols have been established successfully.
It has been also reported that no submarine or ships have been reported any cases of infection.
