The broadcasters and producers of TV serials get urges from The Information and Broadcasting Ministry on Friday to clear all the payments of artists. Manmeet Grewal and Preksha Mehta’s suicide case triggered that industry is suffering a lot. The Ministry received a request from the artists that they are facing a financial crisis.
So, the ministry sends a letter, where it has been mentioned due to coronavirus pandemic a financial downturn happened for many industries of the economy, which is including the broadcasting industry. Prakash Javadekar, the minister of Information and broadcasting discussed with the major stakeholders about the problem of the broadcasting sector.
The broadcasters and producers of TV serials must show their compassion and ensure all the payments for those persons up to the march must be clear as soon as possible. It will help their family to give a relief amid the crisis. The letter has sent to the News Broadcasters Association, Indian Broadcasting Foundation, Association of Regional TV Broadcasters of India and the Producers Guild of India.
