The 20-20 premier league of cricket is all set to postpone further, as the lockdown has been extended until May 2020. This tournament was about to begin from the Wednesday as per schedule.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) didn’t announce any new date for this event. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly stated that the situation is getting worse day by day; they will monitor everything but couldn’t predict the event date.
In this situation, any sports event couldn’t take place to organise. There is no future of sports when the life itself is hanging from the death cliff. Now everything needs to pause until the situation stabled in such pace, said by former captain of Indian Cricket team.
It is nothing new that this tournament has been postponed in the earlier period of election and natural calamity. But this one has put an uncertainty on this event temporarily.
