On Monday, on lawyer Prashant Bhushan for the offense of criminal contempt of court for his it’s criticizing the top court and Chief justice of India earlier 40 days back, Court has imposed a fine of rupees 1 on the lawyer.
By September 22, Bhushan will have to deposit the fine with the court’s registry said the three benches headed by Justice Arun Mishra.
On August 14 top court had found guilty for putting out the two tweets.
The case was registered on July 9 and the first hearing in the matter was held on 22, The case took 40 days to reach a conclusion from the date of its first hearing. The top court on Monday said that we gave him several opportunities to express regret the attorney General also asked the court to close the case when she tenders an apology.
