Indian Ministry of External Affairs has reached India Biotech and Biological e-today with the heads of foreign missions of 64 countries. These two companies are working on the Corona vaccine ‘Covaccine’. Diplomats are being told about the progress made so far by the scientists working on the vaccine.
Bharat Biotech is among the three companies that have sought the approval of the Corona vaccine for emergency use from the Government of India. Apart from Bharat Biotech, Serum Institute and Pfizer India also applied to the government. The third phase trial of Bharat Biotech vaccine is going on, which includes 25 thousand volunteers.
At the same time, the Serum Institute of India has sought permission from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) to use the vaccine developed by Oxford University. The company has requested to allow the vaccine, citing a lack of adequate medical care for the benefit of the people.
According to ICMR, the institute has already manufactured 4 crore doses of this vaccine and has also obtained a license to store it from DCGI. The company’s CEO Adar Poonawala had said that Pune-based SII would focus on giving vaccines to India first.
Here, Pfizer India has got permission to use the Corona vaccine in an emergency situation in India. It has become the first pharmaceutical firm in the country to receive the Corona vaccine officially after the Emergency Use Authority approves the Corona Vaccine in India.
