During the Lock down due to covid 19, the air quality of the silicon valley of India has improved.
The Air Quality index is between 0 to 50, and has improved from the satisfactory level to good.A senior official of the Karnataka Pollution control said on Sunday. According to the records there has been 60 to 65% reduction in the pollution level during the time of lock-down. The lock-down has stopped industrial works,constructions and transport all over the country, these are said to be the major contributors towards the air pollution.
If the AQI is zero to 50 its good, if its 50 to 100 then its satisfactory,100 to 150 moderate and 150 to 200 is poor, Basavaraj Patil, the board’s secretary said.
The Lock down has made a huge differences in environment across the globe, NO2 levels have fallen everywhere, Even the polluted places like Delhi saw a a huge positive difference due to lock down, Even though the lock down has disturbed the economy and the virus has taken a lot of lives, the world is healing, a positive.
