On April 12, the CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray announced that the lockdown will not be uplifted in the state till April 30. The State’s policy is working on allowing the schools and universities to take examinations and helping the migrant labourers. On April 14 all this issue will be explained.
After attending the video conference with PM Modi on tackling the COVID-19, Maharashtra CM confirmed that the state shall be locked up till 30th April. He emphasized that the State has decided to extend the lockdown ‘at least’ till April 30. However, it is still not confirmed whether the lockdown will continue after that.
Later, he added that if people won’t cooperate then this lockdown will extend, again. Therefore, he suggested that people should stay at home and avoid visiting any crowded place.
Maharashtra has witnessed the highest number of COVID-19 patients in the country. Almost 1574 people have tested positive and 188 have recovered.
