If people refuse to wear masks, they will be given a jail term of up to 2 years in one country. The name of the country implementing such a strict law is Ethiopia. Along with this, a provision has been made in the new law to impose penalty for not wearing masks. Ethiopia is the second largest population in Africa. Emergency was implemented here in April to stop Corona. Emergency was lifted in September, but strict restrictions are still in force.
Under strict rules now in force in Ethiopia, no more than three people are required to sit at a table and must wear masks in public places. The government says that people are not cautious and are living as if there is no corona. Health Minister Lia Tedes said that if people do not remain alert then the disease will increase and it may also pose a threat to the country.
According to official figures, so far in the country with the second largest population of Africa, there have been close to 91,000 cases of corona and about 1400 people have died. However, it is being said in media reports that due to lack of testing, it is difficult to get the real data information.
